1) How long have DVD-Shoppen been around?

DVD-Shoppen started in 1999 and is one of the oldest e-retailers in Sweden. Our focus has always been the movies!

 

2) Can I order movies that are not in the store?

We have not added up all the movies that we can get in the store. We have contacts and suppliers around the world (eg Australia, Asia, Europe, USA) and are just released movie (legally), so we try to get it!
To send us a question, can we get it we'll put the movie in the store as to order and an estimated price!

3) What do the different regions for DVDs?

Please read the following information, as it can affect your buying decision!

What is the regional breakdown for DVDs?
Most DVD movies are region coded. In order to keep the sale of certain parts of the world, movie world restricted films with different regions that can only be played with DVD players from the same region.

For example,can we in Sweden only see movies with Region 2 encoding, because the movies we buy in the store, the European encoding - 2. However, you can play other regions if you have a region free player or if you lock up your existing DVD players.

Note: DVD Shoppen.com is an international provider of movie all Region 2 films containing no Swedish subtitles, it is always specified on the film is in Swedish. Often contains internationales all movies english text, but if it does not say anything specific at the film's details, so can it be that the film has no subtitles completely! Region 1 - USA and Canada
Region 2 - Svergie, Western Europe, Japan, South Africa, the Middle East, Egypt
Region 3 - Southeast Asia, East Asia, Hong Kong

4) What do the different regions for Blu-ray?

Blu-ray Region Information:

Blu-ray discs can be encoded with different region codes, the latter is designed to better control where in the world that the movies will be available, this system is similar to what is currently available on DVDs, but regional breakdowns are a little different.

Blu-ray Region Information

Note:

  1. All Blu-ray Discs is not region encoded. Some movies can be played on any Blu-ray player. These usually known as region-free (Or "region 0").
  2. The sleeves can look very different in different locations within a region even if the disc inside is identical.

NTSC and PAL
Even if you have a Blu-ray player, it might be a problem if you play a movie with a different aspect, namely, NTSC. This format is usually sold in regions A and C. Most new televisions sets, however, between the different formats. The problem applies in large part only the older analog TV sets and not the more modern flat screens!

 

5) What is the cost of delivery

In Sweden postage costs 29: - (SEK). Orders Over $ 600 - (SEK) is postage free. In the choice of cash on delivery shipping option will record cash on delivery fee, currently 95: - (SEK) regardless of the size!

6) How fast is delivery?

Movies In Stock:

  • Ships within 1-2 weekdays

Movies that are out of stock (stock):

  • From Swedish suppliers - 2-4 weekdays
  • From European suppliers - 9-12 weekdays
  • From other suppliers - 10-15 working days

7) How is currency in the shop

In DVD-Shoppen, you can choose to see prices in USD, U.S. Dollar, Euro and British Pound.
When paying by card as the payment is always in the SEK in Sweden!
